A psychoeducational assessment is only scheduled after the initial parent consultation. This assessment highlights a child's scholastic strengths and challenges and helps parents and teachers to support a child optimally when there are barriers to learning. A psychoeducational assessment can be done for various needs: - School readiness assessment (done in Grade R) to determine whether a child is ready to enter the formal schooling environment - Scholastic assessment (for school-going students) to determine if academic support is needed in terms of certain diagnoses, such as ADHD, Autism, anxiety, or difficulties with reading, writing or Maths A full written report is compiled which is available within 2-3 weeks after the parent feedback appointment, given that the account has been settled in full. An approximate cost breakdown is as follows: - R980 per hour used to administer the full assessment (maximum of 3 hours) - R700 for the written report
